Fostering Cross-Border Collaboration in Tourism

On 25 November 2024, the EuroCham HCMC office hosted an insightful exchange between Dr. Nuno F. Ribeiro, Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam’s Tourism and Hospitality Sector Committee (THSC), and Mrs. Catherine Germier-Hamel, Chairwoman of EuroCham Cambodia’s Tourism and Hospitality Sector Committee.

These priorities align with Vietnam’s push to enhance its competitiveness as a leading travel destination in ASEAN.

The dialogue extended to identifying synergies and collaborative opportunities between the two Committees. Notable topics included co-organising events and addressing shared challenges in promoting sustainable tourism practices. Both leaders emphasised the importance of leveraging each committee’s expertise to strengthen regional cooperation.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both Committees expressing their commitment to fostering deeper collaboration in the coming months. Together, EuroCham Vietnam and Cambodia aim to drive impactful initiatives, bolstering sustainable tourism development across borders.
